So while we’re finally catching up with all things newsworthy & blogwise, we need to mention that D.S.DUNDEE is now stocked in top menswear store End Clothing in Newcastle. John @ End also put together a news piece on the End Website (scroll down here..) after he took delivery of the first boxes of product:

“There must be something in the water over the border. Our not-too-distant-at-all neighbors in Scotland seem intent on producing brands that us ‘Sassenachs’ love to wear. Whether it’s Pringle, or the recent phenomenon of Lyle & Scott, scottish clothing, and in particular traditional knitwear has been hogging the limelight of British high street fashion for quite some time.

D.S. Dundee are no different, and these relative young upstarts are happy to take on the established names in Scottish fashion – Chiefly by doing things on their own terms while wanting to promote the very best of fabrics from across the UK. Our first drop of D.S. Dundee is composed of some stunning tweed coats and fantastic knitwear. D.S. Dundee knits retain so much of their Scottish heritage, with nods to outdoor pursuits and the use of top quality Angora wools. While other aspects draw from other, more distant Gallic influences, with a quite French feel to some of the knits. The tweed jackets need to be seen to be believed, belted shooting jackets with a modern cut, these are made of 640g tweed with calf’s leather trim. No compromise has been made on quality or attention to detail, classic features such as cartridge pockets sit alongside modern features such as hidden cuffs and military style lapels.

We know this modest first delivery from D.S. Dundee won’t be our last, the quality of each garment can compete with any of the more established names in our catalogue. Quite brilliant stuff, maybe it’s because its cold North of the Border? I dunno…”
